Sr.Research Analyst (Equity Research)

Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Sr. Research Analyst to join our Equity Research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough Research Valuation, developing detailed Finance Modelling, producing insightful Research Reports, and contributing to the overall equity research process. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research Valuation:

   • Conduct comprehensive valuation analyses of companies and sectors, utilizing various valuation methods such as DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
   • Identify key value drivers and risks associated with investments to provide accurate and actionable insights.

2. Financial Modelling:

   • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to forecast company performance, assess investment potential, and support equity research recommendations.
   • Ensure models are robust, transparent, and can be easily updated with new data and assumptions.

3. Research Reports:

   • Produce high-quality research reports, including initiation reports, sector reports, and company-specific updates.
   • Clearly articulate investment theses, valuation perspectives, and market insights in written form.

4. Equity Research:

   • Conduct in-depth equity research on assigned sectors and companies, gathering and analyzing data from various sources including financial statements, industry reports, and market data.
   • Monitor market developments, earnings releases, and news flow to update and refine investment views and recommendations.

5. Client Interaction:

   • Present research findings and investment recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and conference calls.
   • Respond to client inquiries and provide timely updates on relevant market developments and research insights.

6. Collaboration & Support:

   • Work closely with other analysts, associates, and team members to ensure comprehensive coverage of research topics and timely delivery of reports.
   • Support senior analysts and the Director of Equity Research in ad-hoc research projects and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum of 3.6 years of experience in equity research, financial analysis, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and financial analysis.
• Proven track record of producing high-quality research reports and providing actionable investment recommendations.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear and concise reports.
• Advanced knowledge of financial databases and tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Capital IQ, etc.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
