Job Description:
The ideal person for this role has an appreciation for leveraging data to achieve strategic goals and knows how to break down complex data into intelligible, actionable information. We provide a variety of services to clients, including daily news briefings, recurring monthly/quarterly reports, as well as one-off, ad-hoc reports. Research analysts support the planning and delivery of research projects from storyboarding and research planning to the executing and delivery to the client.
Roles & Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute on-demand and ongoing media services requests (clip books, coverage reports, research and analysis, etc.).
- Build a research/storytelling plan that maps to the brief, project objectives with timelines and accountabilities.
- Execute a research plan and build a narrative with data that is engaging and actionable.
- Monitor client performance, conduct data analysis as stipulated throughout each reporting period (weekly - quarterly).
- Provide ongoing quality control to ensure operational efficiency and use of industry-leading practices for client administration including but not limited to: the creation of engaging charts and graphics to highlight performance, delivery of comprehensive, accurate and high-quality reports, managing correspondence and maintenance of client profile and guidelines.
- Provide strategic and consultative guidance to clients across roles/functions to map to their larger business goals/data.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and communicate report findings with clients during telephonic update meetings and answer queries as required.
- Work collaboratively and independently on research projects with a focus on personal accountability and project management.
- Participate in training activities as required on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English, written and oral is required.
- Experience in Communications, Media or Public Relations or related education.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite is required, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ideally, 1-2 years combined working in the communications, media analysis, or research field.
- Client services experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of current trends, practices and techniques in media analysis in both traditional and modern media formats, i.e. print, broadcast and online, including social media.
- In-depth knowledge of diverse report production/writing applications (i.e. quantitative and qualitative findings).
- Readily adapts to new technology, tools and systems. Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
- Advanced listening and verbal communication skills to understand client requirements or problems and respond clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task several requests in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Role Requirements:
- 2+ years of research experience or data / statistical analysis, preferably with exposure to consumer insights and social media research.
- Understanding of marketing, market research and/or social media. Ability to think like a client and make recommendations based on business objectives.
- Technical aptitude for learning new software and conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Experience creating data visualizations, data storytelling, and creating a compelling story flow of report deliverables.
- Confidence in business writing, client communication and presentation skills. Experience working directly with clients is a plus.
- Competency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Full training in iExadia’s software will be provided. Familiarity with social research, Boolean searches, unstructured data, our’s or similar software is a strong advantage.
- Multilingual skills are a plus - Arabic, German, French or Spanish skills are particularly sought after, but not a prerequisite.
