SQL Engineer / Power Bi Developer

Job Description:

Role : SQL Engineer / Power Bi Developer

Primary

Advanced SQL Proficiency(High Priority)

• Intermediate-level T-SQL including but not limited to window functions, CTEs, subqueries
• Multiple table joins including self-joins and complex join conditions
• Query optimization, execution plan analysis, and performance tuning
• Indexing strategies and working efficiently with large datasets

• Star and snowflake schema design and implementation – Understanding Dimensional modelling
• Slowly changing dimensions (Types 1, 2, etc.) practical experience
• Data quality frameworks and governance principles

Data Warehousing & ETL/ELT (Lower Priority)

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar ETL tools
• Azure environment expertise (SQL Database, Data Lake Storage)
• Data pipeline design, implementation, and monitoring

Secondary

Business Intelligence Development

Power BI Development

• Advanced dashboard and report creation with focus on user experience
• Data modelling using Start Schema – Calculation groups, and building out a full solution
• Composite models, incremental refresh, and performance optimization

• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI for paginated reports

• Advanced calculated measures, columns, and time intelligence functions
