Experience: 15+ years overall, with 4–5+ years as HR Head in a manufacturing setup
Industry Preference: Any Manufacturing Industry
Qualification: MBA in Human Resources

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned HR Head to lead the Human Resources function at our manufacturing unit in Dhulagarh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end HR operations, including talent acquisition, statutory compliance, payroll, industrial relations, and team management. The role also involves overseeing administration, security, housekeeping, canteen operations, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) of the premises. Prior experience in handling labour-intensive operations and union management in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Lead recruitment across all levels – staff, workers, and contract employees.

Collaborate with department heads to forecast and plan manpower requirements.

Streamline onboarding and induction processes for new hires.
2. Contract Labour & Compliance Management
-
Manage engagement, documentation, and onboarding of contractors.

Conduct monthly contractor audits and ensure statutory compliance.

Maintain statutory registers and file returns under applicable laws.
3. Payroll & Attendance Management
-
Oversee accurate payroll processing using SAP or ERP tools.

Manage leave, attendance, and shift scheduling systems.

Handle full & final settlements and exit formalities.
4. HR Operations & Systems

Maintain employee data, HR MIS reports, and lifecycle records in ERP.

Drive performance appraisals and goal-setting initiatives.

Ensure timely updates and management of employee files.
5. Government Liaisoning & Statutory Compliance

Liaise with Factory Inspector, Labour Office, PF/ESIC departments, and Employment Exchange.

Ensure compliance with labour laws, Factories Act, Bonus Act, and other regulations.

Represent the company during inspections, audits, and hearings.
6. Industrial Relations & Union Handling

Maintain healthy and collaborative industrial relations.

Handle wage and bonus negotiations with unions.

Resolve employee grievances effectively and fairly.
7. General Administration & Facility Management

Oversee security operations across factory and office premises.

Supervise admin and housekeeping functions to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.

Manage the factory canteen – vendor coordination, hygiene, and employee satisfaction.

Ensure compliance and best practices in EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) across the facility.
Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership in HR and compliance within manufacturing setups.

In-depth knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory frameworks.

Hands-on experience with HRMS/ERP systems like SAP, Lighthouse, etc.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills.

Ability to liaise effectively with external agencies and government bodies.

Practical and balanced approach to union and workforce management.

Competence in handling facility administration and safety functions.
