Assistant Manager – Purchase

Reports To: Manager – Purchase
Job Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Purchase will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing activities, ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services required for the smooth operation of the organization. This position involves negotiating with vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness, maintaining inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to understand purchasing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for raw materials, equipment, and services.
- Evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms and prices, and establish contracts.
- Monitor market trends and assist in budget preparation.
- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Assess vendor performance and resolve any disputes or issues related to procurement.
- Inventory Management:
- Ensure proper inventory control and timely order replenishment.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and monitor stock levels.
- Purchase Order Management:
- Prepare, review, and approve purchase orders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
