Job Description:

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share in the assigned territory within the plywood industry. This role involves managing a team of sales executives, maintaining strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and contractors, and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with dealers, distributors, and end-users.
  • Expand the dealer and distributor network within the territory.
  • Promote new products and drive their adoption in the market.

Market Development

  • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
  • Implement marketing and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and market share.
  • Work closely with architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure product specifications are incorporated into their projects.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set clear performance goals and provide regular coaching and feedback.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and address challenges.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Address customer queries, complaints, and feedback to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues related to product delivery, quality, or service.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Monitor sales performance and prepare detailed reports for management.
  • Track and analyze competitor activities, pricing, and market share to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Provide insights and feedback on product performance and market demand.
