Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager – Rewards will be responsible for generating revenue by spearheading initiatives in trade marketing, contests, and dealer gifting schemes. The role involves acquiring new clients, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and leveraging opportunities for upselling and cross-selling through various reward-driven programs. This position requires a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure that our offerings remain relevant and appealing to clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product and Service Knowledge:

    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and services to effectively present and recommend solutions to clients.
  2. Client Acquisition:

    • Actively seek new clients through direct outreach, networking events, and collaboration with the marketing team to promote corporate offerings and rewards programs.
  3. Networking and Relationship Building:

    • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking activities to establish and grow relationships with potential and existing clients.
  4. Client Retention and Engagement:

    • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention through consistent communication and support.
  5. Upselling and Cross-Selling:

    • Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services that may enhance the client’s business, driving additional revenue streams.
  6. Proposal and Contract Management:

    • Develop, present, and negotiate business proposals and contracts that meet client needs while maximizing revenue for the company.
  7. Negotiation and Deal Closing:

    • Lead negotiations with clients to secure optimal pricing and terms while maintaining strong, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  8. Sales Team Support and Development:

    • Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team, equipping them with the tools and skills required to excel in client engagement and sales performance.
  9. Client Feedback and Continuous Improvement:

    • Collect and review feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to enhance service delivery.
  10. Market Awareness:

    • Stay updated on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor offerings to ensure that the company's rewards programs remain competitive and aligned with client needs.
  11. Rewards Revenue Generation:

    • Drive the generation of rewards revenue through active participation in trade marketing activities, contests, and dealer gifting schemes, ensuring that clients remain engaged with our incentive-driven offerings.

  • New client acquisition and revenue generation
  • Client retention rate and relationship satisfaction
  • Success rate in upselling and cross-selling
  • Number of business proposals and contracts closed
  • Sales team performance and client feedback metrics

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in trade marketing, rewards programs, or incentive-driven campaigns.
    • Strong experience in managing client relationships and generating revenue through strategic sales initiatives.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
    • Ability to analyze market trends and client feedback to implement strategic improvements.
    • Experience with proposal writing, contract management, and pricing negotiations.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
