We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Power BI Developer to join our Data Analytics & AI team.
Job Description:
As a Junior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and deployment of Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to our internal stakeholders. You will work closely with senior team members and cross-functional departments to understand requirements, gather data, and create visually engaging and insightful reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Visualization: Assist in building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
- Data Preparation: Collaborate in gathering, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources for reporting purposes.
- Report Development: Develop, enhance, and optimize interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Quality Assurance: Perform testing, debugging, and performance tuning of Power BI reports and underlying datasets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify details, and provide report updates.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for all reports and processes, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding for future use.
- Learning & Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and business intelligence to continuously improve skills.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Power BI and DAX functions.
- Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write basic queries.
- Exposure to data modeling concepts and experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Python, or other data analytics tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Eager to learn, collaborate with a team, and contribute proactively to achieve common goals.
Preferred (but not required):
- Certification: Microsoft Power BI or related certifications are advantageous.
