Reporting To PROJECT MANAGER
QUALIFICATION : B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and submit running account (RA), final and supplementary bills to the client as per contract terms and BOQ rates.
• Take joint measurements (JMS) with client and site teams; verify quantities against approved drawings and executed work.
• Maintain a BOQ vs executed vs billed vs balance tracker; identify unbilled work, deviations and extraitems.
• Prepare variation/extra-item rate proposals and claims with supporting documents; negotiate with the client.
• Build comprehensive billing backup files containing all mandatory attachments, including material delivery challans, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) records, and installation test certificates
• Coordinate with site for measurement records, completion certificates and timely client certification of bills.
• Verify subcontractor and vendor bills against work orders and certified measurements before releasing for payment.
• Follow up on receivables, retention and SBLC/guarantee releases with accounts; deal independently withclient commercial teams.
• Prepare billing MIS – certified vs pending bills, collections and outstanding balances.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Billing (RA / final) in electrical / EPC projects
• Billing-drawing study and quantity measurement (take-off), capability to read and analyze MEP layout drawings and technical as-built records to justify billed quantities.
• BOQ and contract-terms understanding, familiarity with the stringent quality documentation, safety tolerances, and vendor compliance frameworks typical of Tier-4 Data Center projects (e.g., CtrlS).
• Project item knowledge –technical understanding of high-voltage/low-voltage electrical distribution andlarge-scale HVAC setups (chilled water systems, cooling towers, fire pumps, and industrial piping networks).
• Advanced MS Excel (lookups, pivots, reconciliations)
• Organizing billing arithmetic alongside necessary engineering proofs (material test certificates, site logs, handovers, and inspection reports).
• ERP / SAP; basic GST and commercial documentation, working knowledge of commercial taxation,
including GST laws for works contracts, E-Way bills, TDS, and retention money clauses across Indian
states.
• Independent client dealing, negotiation and communication, communication skills to defend claims,
negotiate variations, and maintain relationships with strict client PMC (Project Management Consultant)
teams.
