Position: IT Network Engineer
Location: Kolkata
Experience: Minimum 4+ Years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced IT Network Engineer to manage and maintain the organization's IT network infrastructure. The candidate should have hands-on experience in internet connectivity, hardware installation, network integration, firewall configuration, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's network and internet connectivity.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT hardware and networking devices.
- Perform hardware installation, configuration, and integration.
- Configure and maintain firewalls to ensure network security.
- Install and configure routers, switches, access points, and other networking equipment.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, internet, and network-related problems.
- Ensure smooth integration of network devices and IT infrastructure.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for internet-related issues.
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades of network hardware and systems.
- Maintain proper documentation of network configurations and IT assets.
- Handle basic DTP (Desktop Publishing) work as and when required
- Provide technical support to internal users for network and hardware-related issues.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Computer Networking and Internet Connectivity.
- Hands-on experience in Hardware Installation and Configuration.
- Experience in Network Integration.
- Knowledge of Firewall Configuration and Network Security.
- Experience with routers, switches, access points, and other networking devices.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN and networking fundamentals.
- Ability to handle basic DTP work
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates having experience working in a Broking Firm / Stock Broking / Financial Services organization will be preferred.
- Experience in handling IT infrastructure in a fast-paced financial services environment will be an added advantage.
Education
- BCA/MCA/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field.
- Relevant networking certifications such as CCNA will be an added advantage.
