Job Title: Accountant – Finance, Taxation & Compliance
Location: Kolkata, West Bengal

Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-driven accounting professional to drive end-to-end bookkeeping, taxation, and statutory compliance. The role demands strong execution discipline, high accuracy, and the ability to navigate multi-layered regulatory frameworks. Exposure to real estate finance will be a strategic advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounts Management
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records in line with applicable standards.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and ledger & Trial Balance scrutiny & Invoice Billing. Ensure accurate month-end closing, provisioning, prepare Balance sheet and MIS support.
GST Operations:
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and others as applicable).
- Reconcile GST input/output, vendor mismatches, and rectify deviations proactively.
Income Tax:
- Income tax computation, TDS workings, and return filing.
- Manage quarterly TDS returns, 26AS reconciliations, and compliance documentation.
Companies Act & Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate with CS/legal teams for MCA filings, board resolutions, and secretarial documentation.
- Ensure adherence to statutory timelines and maintain compliance records.
- Assist in audit processes (internal, statutory, and tax).
- Real Estate Accounting (Preferred)
- Handle ledgers relating to land, development rights, project-wise cost allocation, and customer advances.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance.
- Strong command over Tally/ERP, Excel, and reconciliation workflows.
- Working knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and Companies Act.
- Ability to operate in high-velocity environments with tight deadlines.
- Real estate industry exposure will be an added advantage.
