Head of Sales – Geotechnical Solutions
Job Summary
The Head of Sales (Geotechnical) will lead the business's sales and growth strategy, focusing on expanding our market presence in complex civil engineering projects (rail, water, highways, ports, etc.). This role requires a strong technical background in geotechnical engineering to provide expert advice to clients and lead a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive market share growth and achieve sales targets within the geotechnical sector.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build long-term partnerships with key clients (e.g., consultants, contractors, asset owners), and lead negotiations for high-value contracts.
- Technical Expertise & Solution Design: Serve as a primary technical advisor to clients, collaborating with internal engineering teams to design and present tailored geotechnical solutions (foundations, ground improvement, slope stability, etc.).
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales/geotechnical engineers to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform business planning and maintain a competitive edge.
- Proposal & Presentation Development: Oversee the preparation of detailed proposals, technical reports, and persuasive presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Managing Director, operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
