Designation: Senior Manager – Solar Project Execution

Experience: 7–12 years in Solar Ground Mounted Projects

Job Role:

The Senior Manager – Solar Project Execution will lead and manage the end-to-end execution of ground-mounted solar projects. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, quality assurance, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Develop detailed execution plans for solar projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and cost control.
• Oversee site mobilization, installation, and commissioning activities for electrical and civil works.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and proactively resolve delays or bottlenecks.

2. Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and contractors for smooth project execution.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and quality teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders during project execution.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for all project activities.
• Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, NEC, and other relevant standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain quality benchmarks.

4. Safety & Risk Management

• Enforce strict adherence to HSE guidelines and electrical safety protocols.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
• Organize safety training and toolbox talks for site personnel.

5. Budget & Resource Management

• Monitor project budgets and control costs without compromising quality.
  • Optimize utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of critical components.
  6. Testing & Commissioning
  • Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
  • Ensure successful integration of solar modules, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
  7. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, quality records, and compliance certificates.
  • Prepare MIS reports for management and clients.
  • Document deviations and corrective actions taken during execution.

  Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of solar power plant design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Expertise in electrical systems, civil works, and project management.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, SLDs, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  Qualifications:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (MBA preferred for managerial roles).
  • Experience: 7–12 years in solar ground-mounted project execution.
  • Language: English, Hindi, and regional languages (Gujarati preferred).
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across project sites.
