HR Manager

Job Description:

Job Summary:

The HR Manager will be responsible for managing all human resource functions within the manufacturing facility. This includes talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, training and development, payroll coordination, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, aligned with labor laws and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Staffing

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract skilled manpower for plant operations.

• Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning and workforce forecasting.

• Conduct interviews, manage onboarding, and facilitate orientation sessions.

2. Employee Relations

• Foster a positive work culture by resolving employee grievances effectively.

• Maintain good relations with unions (if applicable) and handle negotiations.

• Organize employee engagement and welfare programs.

3. Compliance & Labor Law Adherence

• Ensure compliance with labor laws (Factories Act, ESI, PF, Gratuity, etc.).

• Maintain statutory registers and manage labor inspections/audits.

• Liaise with government departments when required.

4. Performance Management

• Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems (KRA/KPI based).

• Coordinate annual and mid-year performance reviews.

5. Training & Development

• Identify skill gaps and design training calendars for workers and staff.

• Conduct regular training on safety, behavior, compliance, and skill enhancement.

6. Payroll & Attendance

• Oversee attendance and leave management systems.

• Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely salary disbursal.

7. Health & Safety

• Work with the safety officer to promote workplace safety standards.

• Ensure employees undergo necessary medical checks and health training.

8. HR Strategy & Policy Implementation

• Develop, revise, and implement HR policies specific to the manufacturing environment.

• Provide strategic input to improve HR processes and reduce attrition.
