Job Overview:
The Assistant Quality Manager supports the Quality Manager in overseeing and maintaining the
quality management system (QMS) within the organization. This role involves ensuring
compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies to deliver
products or services that meet customer expectations. The Assistant Quality Manager works
closely with production, engineering, and other departments to monitor and improve quality
processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Quality Management System
(QMS) to ensure compliance with internal and external standards (ISO, FDA, etc.).
• Support audits and inspections, including preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Review and approve quality documentation, such as inspection reports, non-conformance
reports, and corrective actions.
2. Process Improvement:
• Identify and assist in resolving quality-related issues within the production or service delivery
processes.
• Support root cause analysis for quality problems and work with relevant departments to
develop corrective actions.
• Continuously monitor and suggest improvements to quality processes to enhance efficiency
and effectiveness.
3. Product/Process Monitoring:
• Conduct regular quality checks and audits on products, materials, and production processes.
• Collect and analyze data related to product quality, identifying trends and areas for
improvement.
• Assist in the evaluation of new materials, suppliers, and processes to ensure they meet quality
standards.
4. Training and Support:
• Assist in training staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Act as a point of contact for quality-related queries and concerns, offering guidance and
support to other departments.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of quality checks, inspections, and audits.
• Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, compliance issues, and
improvement initiatives.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with the production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure product quality is
maintained across the entire supply chain.
