Health & wellness Teacher

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development and Instruction:

   • Design and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum standards on topics like nutrition, fitness, mental health, hygiene, substance abuse prevention, and stress management.
   • Use various teaching methods (lectures, discussions, hands-on activities) to engage students and accommodate different learning styles.

2. Health Advocacy:

   • Promote healthy behaviors and attitudes among students.
   • Serve as a role model for health and wellness practices.

3. Student Support and Guidance:

   • Provide individualized advice and support to students facing health-related challenges.
   • Collaborate with counselors, parents, and other professionals to address student needs holistically.

4. Program Management:

   • Organize wellness activities, workshops, or events, such as mindfulness sessions, fitness challenges, or nutrition fairs.
   • Stay updated on health and wellness trends and incorporate relevant topics into the curriculum.

5. Evaluation and Reporting:

   • Assess students' understanding and progress through quizzes, assignments, and discussions.
   • Track and report outcomes to school administrators or stakeholders.

6. Compliance and Safety:

   • Ensure lessons comply with educational and health guidelines.
   • Teach safe practices related to physical activity and general well-being.
