The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution networks, and expanding market share in Kerala for tarpaulin products. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the tarpaulin industry, customer preferences, and regional market dynamics. The RSM will lead a team to achieve sales targets and work closely with dealers, distributors, and end clients to establish a strong brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
Identify new business opportunities, target segments, and strategies to penetrate the market.
Forecast demand and sales potential, preparing budgets and sales projections.
Market Development
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends in the tarpaulin sector.
Establish relationships with key industry players, distributors, and retailers to drive sales.
Initiate promotional activities and marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and product visibility.
Team Leadership and Training
Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance on sales techniques and product knowledge.
Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team performance and customer service skills.
Set targets and performance metrics, conducting periodic reviews to ensure sales objectives are met.
Account Management
Maintain relationships with existing clients, providing support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Handle client negotiations, sales contracts, and follow-up for timely payment collections.
Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of service quality.
Reporting and Analysis
Monitor and report on key sales metrics, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
Analyze sales data to assess market trends, adjust sales strategies, and identify growth opportunities.
Provide monthly and quarterly sales reports to senior management, outlining achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the tarpaulin, industrial fabrics, or similar manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in regional sales management with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the Kerala market and regional trade practices.
