We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, and drive cost-saving initiatives in the textile industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment manufacturing, process optimization, and lean practices. The position is based in Bhiwandi, and requires hands-on involvement in improving production workflows and ensuring the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization:

  • Analyze current garment production processes and fabric handling methods.
  • Implement solutions that optimize productivity, reduce operational costs, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain time standards and work methods to ensure maximum efficiency.

• Work Study and Methods Engineering:

  • Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks in production.
  • Design optimal workstation layouts and work sequences to improve performance.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and streamline operations.

• Production Planning & Scheduling:

  • Work with production and planning teams to maximize resource utilization.
  • Create and manage production schedules, ensuring timely completion of orders.
  • Provide accurate fabric consumption calculations to minimize waste and improve cost control.

• Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Ensure all production processes meet established quality standards.
  • Work with the quality control team to identify and prevent potential product defects.
  • Continuously collaborate with the quality team to improve product quality standards.

• Cost Analysis & Control:

  • Monitor and analyze production costs, focusing on reducing operational expenses.
  • Assist in budgeting for labor, fabric, and overhead costs.
  • Provide input to management on pricing decisions based on production efficiency.

• Equipment and Machine Efficiency:

  • Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment, recommending improvements or upgrades as necessary.
  • Ensure routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and enhance equipment efficiency.

• Training and Development:

  • Train production staff on new processes and techniques.
  • Develop training materials and support workers in improving their efficiency and technical skills.

• Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure that all production processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Implement safety measures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Data Collection & Reporting:

  • Maintain production data records, including time, cost, and efficiency metrics.
  • Provide management with regular updates on improvements and their impact on operations.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
  • Diploma in Textile Engineering will also be considered.
• Experience:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably within the garment or textile industry.
• Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of garment production processes and fabric handling.
  • Expertise in process optimization, time and motion studies, and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in production planning, cost control, and equipment management.
  • Ability to train staff and implement continuous improvement practices.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance and safety standards in textile production.
