Job Description:

The Fabrication Incharge will oversee the entire fabrication process of tarpaulins, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to production schedules. This role requires expertise specifically in the tarpaulin industry or HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) products like those from Supreme and other similar companies.  

  • Production Management:

    • Oversee and manage the fabrication process from raw material to finished product.
    • Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines.
    • Coordinate with the production team to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Quality Control:

    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product standards are met.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the fabrication process.
    • Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and lead the fabrication team, providing training and support as needed.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Equipment Maintenance:

    • Ensure all fabrication equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
    • Schedule regular maintenance and address any equipment issues promptly.
    • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials.
    • Conduct regular stock checks and update inventory records.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify areas for improvement in the fabrication process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in fabrication technology.
  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality control checks, and inventory levels.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance to the management team.
  • Customer Interaction:

  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and ensure satisfaction.
  • Address any customer complaints or issues related to product quality.
 
 
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and equipment used in the tarpaulin industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in quality control and inventory management.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for production management and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with companies like Supreme or similar in the HDPE industry.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations specific to the tarpaulin industry.
  • Experience in process improvement and lean manufacturing.
