Job Description:

Position Overview: The Controller of Examination (COE) is a pivotal role responsible for managing and overseeing the entire examination process within the university. This includes the administration of exams, coordination of the evaluation process, and the preparation and dissemination of results. The COE ensures that all examinations are conducted fairly and transparently, maintaining the highest standards of integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Examination Management:

    • Oversee the scheduling, administration, and conduct of all university examinations.
    • Ensure all examinations are carried out in accordance with university policies and standards.
    • Develop and implement examination protocols and procedures.
  2. Evaluation Coordination:

    • Coordinate the evaluation process, ensuring timely and accurate assessment of student performance.
    • Manage the secure handling and storage of examination papers and related materials.
  3. Results Preparation:

    • Oversee the preparation, verification, and publication of examination results.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the results dissemination process.
  4. Resource Management:

    • Manage resources related to the examination process, including exam papers, answer sheets, and invigilation staff.
    • Recruit, train, and manage invigilation staff to ensure efficient and fair examination processes.
  5. Interdepartmental Coordination:

    • Collaborate with academic departments to ensure the smooth operation of the examination process.
    • Address and resolve any examination-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  6. Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure the examination process adheres to the highest standards of fairness and transparency.
    • Implement measures to uphold the integrity of the examination process and prevent malpractice.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in examination administration and management within an educational institution.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining standards of fairness and transparency.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in examination software and related technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
