Job Description:

 

 

A merchandizer is responsible for planning and coordinating the procurement, allocation, and display of products to maximize sales and profitability. This role involves analyzing market trends, managing inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that products are visually appealing and well-stocked in retail environments. Additionally, a merchandizer may collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional strategies and maintain effective communication with various stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development:

    • Collaborate with the design and production teams to develop new jute bag designs and concepts.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences.
    • Create sample prototypes and coordinate with stakeholders for feedback and approval.
  2. Order Management:

    • Receive and review customer purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
    • Liaise with production and procurement teams to plan production schedules and raw material procurement.
    • Monitor order progress and proactively address any issues or delays to ensure on-time delivery.
  3. Supplier and Vendor Management:

    • Identify and source reliable suppliers for raw materials, accessories, and packaging materials.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency.
    • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and conduct periodic performance evaluations.
  4. Quality Assurance:

    • Establish and enforce quality standards for all jute bag products, from raw materials to finished goods.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks at various stages of production.
    • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Documentation and Compliance:

    • Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to product specifications, purchase orders, and shipments.
    • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and quality standards.
  6. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order updates, and issue resolution.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and exceptional service.
