Assistant Commercial Manager

Job Description:

Role Purpose

Own end-to-end commercial and administrative coordination for Flexicom Industries' Kathua plant — from order planning and production coordination through to payment collection — while coordinating closely with HR, stores, accounts and the plant technical/production team, working directly with the Commercial Head and Production GM.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate order planning and production scheduling in line with customer orders and plant capacity.
• Own end-to-end tracking of orders — from booking through production, dispatch and payment collection.
• Coordinate with the HR function on manpower-related commercial and administrative matters.
• Coordinate with stores on material availability and stock-related commercial matters.
• Coordinate with accounts on billing, collections and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with the plant technical/production team to align commercial commitments with production capability and schedules.
• Support the Commercial Head and Production GM on overall plant coordination and commercial decision-making.
• Build and maintain MIS and reports in Excel for management review.
• Take ownership of cross-functional coordination across commercial, production, HR, stores and accounts functions.

Key Performance Indicators

• On-time order fulfilment and dispatch adherence
• Payment collection turnaround and outstanding management
• Effectiveness of cross-functional coordination (production, HR, stores, accounts)
• Accuracy and timeliness of MIS/management reporting

Education & Experience

• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com/BBA) or above; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing production unit, ideally with unit turnover in the range of ₹100–150 Crore.
• Proven, hands-on experience in cross-functional plant coordination — spanning order planning, production coordination and payment collection — is mandatory.
• Experience coordinating with HR, stores, accounts and technical/production teams in a plant environment.

Mandatory Skills

• Cross-functional plant coordination — order planning through to payment collection.
• MS Excel — mandatory, for planning and MIS reporting.
• Strong coordination and liaising skills across departments and with external stakeholders.
• Hindi and English — spoken and written.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to any ERP system — a good-to-have, not mandatory.

Working Conditions

• Location: Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir (on-site).
• Working days: 6 days a week, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

• Candidates based in or willing to relocate from Jammu, Punjab, Haryana or Delhi preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• CTC: ₹60,000 – ₹80,000 per month, based on experience (approved range).

Notice Period

No buyout support; a mutually agreed early release from the current employer with proper handover may be considered, given the 90-day target joining timeline.
