Job Description:

Job Purpose
The Junior Legal Executive will support the legal function of the company by assisting with civil,
criminal, and property-related legal matters, coordinating with external advocates and government
offices, and ensuring the company's legal interests are protected across all ongoing matters.

 

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in attending to all legal matters of the company, including civil, criminal, money suit, NCLT,
and writ matters.
• Support the drafting of agreements, deeds of conveyance, lease deeds, tenancy surrender
documents, and thika tenancy papers.
• Coordinate and liaise with Senior Advocates and Solicitor firms on ongoing legal matters.
• Assist in handling legal matters of the company across Alipore, Howrah, and the High Court.
• Liaise with KMC (Kolkata Municipal Corporation) authorities for assessment-related purposes.
• Visit and liaise with the Police Department as required for legal matters.
• Carry out land searches and visit various BL & LRO offices, Land Acquisition (LA) offices, and
Registry offices.
• Represent or assist in representing the company before various appropriate authorities.
• Support in handling matters relating to eviction suits and other civil disputes.
• Coordinate with the company's panel of legal professionals and counsels engaged in Howrah,
Alipore, High Court, and BL&LRO matters, and help ensure timely follow-up on their work.
• Maintain organized records and documentation of case files, correspondence, and legal
proceedings.

 

Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in law (LLB); degree in Law (LLB); enrollment with the Bar Council preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a real estate company, developer, or law firm
handling property matters.
• Working knowledge of civil, criminal, and property law, including tenancy and conveyance matters.
• Willingness to travel locally for office visits, court appearances, and liaison work (Alipore, Howrah,
BL&LRO, KMC, Police stations, etc.).

• Good coordination and communication skills to liaise effectively with advocates, authorities, and
internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and drafting.
• Proficiency in Bengali, Hindi, and English is preferred.
