Maintenance Engineer
Job Description:
Reports to: Assistant Manager-Production
Location: Cheyyar
Job Purpose
The main purpose of the role is to bring down breakdown time through proper
preventive maintenance and spares control, energy consumption. Responsible for all
the repair and maintenance of the machine in the Unit – hands on experience
required
Responsibility:
Identify maintenance issues before they occur – experience in predictive maintenance
environment
To check the Daily Routine Maintenance Checklist on daily basis for verification of all the
maintenance of machines and motors.
To process the maintenance as per the checklist in case of incomplete checking in-house
or outsource the engineer and rectify the problem.
To execute on the Preventive Measure Plan given by the department head and update on
records.
To execute on the inter office memo received from Production department incase of any
issues in the machines regarding electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, chiller, gas fitting etc.
To fill and process the Purchase requisition with the approval of the Unit Head to purchase
department incase of any spare parts required for machine maintenance and/or repairing
in absence of Maintenance incharge.
To check and execute for any electrical work incase of shifting of machines from one place
to another.
To process the installation of new machines whenever required in the unit.
To co-ordinate with the maintenance incharge incase of record keeping required for ISO
documentations on daily basis.
To maintain all necessary records as per quality system procedure.
To control power consumption , point out wastage
To approve safety norms related to department
Key Skills & Attributes
Knowledge of Injection Moulding, injection blow moulding, blow moulding and
related utilities such as chillers, compressors, pick and place systems
Decent written, verbal and presentation skills
Competent in problem solving and hard working
Commercially aware
Essential Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical
Total Experience: 8-10 yrs with similar industry.
Age Profile: 30-35years
No. of Company changes: 2-3
Travel: Occasional and limited
