Job Description:
Role:- Marketing Engineer/ Officer
Experience:- 3-10 years
Location:- Bhilai
Salary:- 25-40K (Negotiable)
The Marketing Engineer/ Officer will be responsible for business development and marketing activities related to fabrication projects. The role involves identifying new project opportunities, interacting with clients, preparing techno-commercial proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to secure fabrication and machining contracts in structural
steel, heavy Technological fabrication, and Industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in fabrication and machining.
Generate leads through consultants, agents and direct customers.
Understand fabrication and machining drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantity), and technical specifications.
Prepare cost estimates, techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
Coordinate with estimation, design, production, and planning teams.
Participate in tendering, online bidding, and negotiation processes.
Conduct client meetings, site visits, and Techno-commercial discussions.
Track project progress and support post-order coordination
Conduct market and competitor analysis in the Equipment manufacturing sector.
Maintain strong relationships with Customers, consultants, and vendors(For market survey).
Prepare MIS reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates.
Skills &; Competencies:
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes (cutting, welding,forming and bending etc.)
Ability to read and understand structural and equipment drawings.
Knowledge of materials (MS(Mild Steel), SS(Stainless steel), Casting and Forging) and Indian and International standards.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Commercial awareness and costing knowledge.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
Experience in structural steel fabrication or/ and heavy engineering fabrication.
Exposure to Equipment/ Structure/ industrial / infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of tender portals and contract terms.
Familiarity with ERP (SAP S4 Hana)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Lead generation and conversion rate.
Order booking value and revenue growth in Marketing.
Client acquisition and retention.
Timely submission of tenders and proposals.
