Production Supervisor for Paints Factory for Kolkata

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and control day-to-day production operations.
• Ensure production targets are met as per plan.
• Manage manpower allocation and shift planning.
• Monitor machine performance, output, downtime, and wastage.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained during production.
• Maintain production records, reports, and shift logs.
• Enforce safety rules, discipline, and housekeeping on the shop floor.
• Train operators and workers on proper work methods and safety practices.
• Coordinate with QA, stores, and planning teams for smooth workflow.
• Identify and implement productivity and process improvement initiatives.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma in paint / ITI / B.sc

Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Good understanding of production processes
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, reporting)
• Ability to work in shifts
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Knowledge in container printing machine
• Knowledge in filling machine.
