Job Description:

Role Overview:

The HR Head will lead the overall human resource strategy and operations for the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The role requires strong experience in managing workforce across project sites, corporate offices, and engineering teams within the construction/infrastructure domain.


Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Act as a strategic partner to top management
  • Drive organizational development and change management initiatives

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead hiring for project-based and corporate roles (Engineers, Site Staff, Project Managers, etc.)
  • Plan manpower requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Manage recruitment agencies and internal hiring teams

3. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee onboarding, engagement, performance management, and exit processes
  • Implement retention strategies for critical talent
  • Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions

4. Performance Management System (PMS)

  • Design and implement KPI-driven performance systems
  • Monitor performance reviews and ensure alignment with business targets

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Develop competitive compensation structures
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and benefits administration

6. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws (PF, ESIC, CLRA, Factory Act, etc.)
  • Manage HR documentation, audits, and statutory requirements
  • Oversee contract labor management at project sites

7. Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs for technical and behavioral skills
  • Implement leadership development programs

8. Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Manage union interactions (if applicable)
  • Handle disputes, negotiations, and legal matters

9. HR Digitization & Systems

  • Implement HRMS and data-driven decision-making
  • Track HR metrics and analytics

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of construction/project-based workforce management
  • Expertise in labor laws and statutory compliance
  • Leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Experience in handling multi-location/site operations

Educational Qualification:

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Additional certifications in labor laws or IR will be an advantage
