Packaging Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Supervisor to oversee production activities in the flexible packaging unit. The candidate will be responsible for managing shop floor operations, ensuring production targets, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing resources for efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of flexible packaging processes such as printing, lamination, slitting, and pouching
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per planning schedules
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdowns and preventive maintenance
• Maintain product quality as per client specifications and industry standards
• Implement and follow SOPs, GMP, and safety guidelines on the shop floor
• Handle manpower planning, shift allocation, and team supervision
• Reduce wastage and improve productivity through process improvements
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals
• Maintain production reports, shift reports, and documentation
• Train and guide operators and helpers for better performance
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of flexible packaging processes and machinery
• Hands-on experience in rotogravure / flexographic printing, lamination, and pouching
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Knowledge of quality standards, 5S, Lean Manufacturing
• Basic understanding of production planning and inventory control
• Good communication and coordination skills
