Job Description:

Your Key Responsibilities

● Production Planning and Supervision ○ Oversee daily production activities, ensuring machines operate efficiently and output targets are met. ○ Assign tasks to machine operators and monitor their performance on the shop floor. ● Coordination with Maintenance ○ Work closely with the Maintenance Head to ensure machines are operational and downtime is minimised. ○ Report any equipment issues or breakdowns promptly and follow up on timely maintenance. ● Quality and Process Compliance ○ Ensure production processes adhere to SOPs and maintain product quality standards. ○ Monitor operators for compliance with safety protocols and operational guidelines. ● Performance Monitoring and Reporting ○ Track production metrics, including output, efficiency, and downtime. ○ Prepare reports on production performance and submit them to the Plant In-Charge. ● Process Improvement ○ Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in production and implement corrective actions. ○ Suggest improvements to optimise machine utilisation, workflow, and operator productivity. ● Team Management ○ Supervise machine operators, provide guidance, and ensure disciplined execution of production tasks. ○ Support training of operators on best practices and adherence to safety and quality standards. ● Shop Floor Management ○ Maintain a clean, safe, and organised production area. ○ Ensure smooth material flow in coordination with stores and material handling teams.

 

What Makes You a Fit Educational Qualification

● Diploma / or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastic Technology, Polymer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. Skills ● Strong knowledge of plastic injection moulding or manufacturing production processes. ● Ability to supervise and manage machine operators, ensuring adherence to production schedules and SOPs. ● Understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance coordination with the Maintenance Head. ● Ability to monitor production quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions. ● Proficiency in tracking production metrics, maintaining reports, and analysing performance data.

 

● Awareness of safety standards, shop floor discipline, and process compliance in a manufacturing Environment. Experience ● 2–5 years of experience in production supervision, preferably in plastic injection moulding, manufacturing, or industrial operations. ● Practical exposure to managing machine operators, coordinating with maintenance teams, and ensuring smooth production workflow. ● Experience in monitoring production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and reporting production performance. ● Familiarity with implementing SOPs, safety protocols, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
