Job Description:

The company is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing facility in Howrah. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our production line through rigorous preventive maintenance and rapid breakdown response.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance: Design and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for all plant machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Breakdown Repairs: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to resume production as quickly as possible.
  • Machine Oversight: Provide technical expertise and hands-on maintenance for our core fleet, including:

o           Power Presses and Screw Presses

o           Gathering and Draw Machines

o           Roll Thread and Flat Thread Machines

o           China Presses

o           Pointing and Chamfering Machines

o           E.O.T. Cranes (Full operational and safety maintenance)

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities adhere to industrial safety standards and factory regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate with the procurement department to ensure critical components are always in stock.
  • Process Improvement: Identify recurring issues and implement long-term technical solutions to improve machine efficiency.

  

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–7 years of proven experience in a manufacturing plant (preferably in steel hardware or heavy machinery).
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Specific experience with E.O.T. cranes and various press machines is highly preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills with a "hands-on" approach to machinery.
  • Location: Ability to work on-site at our Howrah plant.
