Job Summary:
The Domestic Transport Logistics Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the transportation of goods within the country. The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, proper documentation, and coordination with transporters, warehouses, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Coordination
Plan and arrange domestic transportation for dispatch of goods.
Coordinate with transporters, drivers, and logistics vendors.
Shipment Monitoring
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to customers or warehouses.
Resolve transportation delays and issues.
Documentation Management
Prepare and verify transport documents such as e-way bills, invoices, LR copies, and delivery challans.
Vendor Management
Maintain relationships with transport vendors and negotiate freight rates.
Evaluate transporter performance.
Cost Control
Monitor transportation costs and optimize logistics expenses.
Coordination with Departments
Work closely with sales, warehouse, and production teams for dispatch planning.
MIS & Reporting
Maintain dispatch records and prepare logistics MIS reports.
Track delivery status and transporter performance.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
