Safety Officer

Job Description:

The Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining and improving health and safety
standards, especially for work at height, by enforcing safe working procedures and
ensuring consistent use of PPE. They conduct regular safety meetings, daily inspections,
and training sessions to raise safety awareness and skills among employees. The role
involves identifying and reporting hazards, handling deviations from safety protocols,
and correcting unsafe acts and conditions promptly. Safety Officers also induct new
employees, monitor employee health, oversee equipment safety, respond effectively to
serious incidents, and foster a proactive safety culture throughout the organization with
strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, they are
responsible for handling audits such as CSMS, ISO and any company audits to ensure
the organization’s compliance with safety standards and supporting continuous
improvement through systematic monitoring and documentation. This comprehensive
approach helps prevent accidents and ensures a safe working environment for all team
members.

MIN QUALIFICATION Post Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Diploma in Industrial Safety/ JNTVTI for

Tata Steel. NEBOSH Certification will be an added advantage.

MIN EXPERIENCE 4-8 years (post qualification in Safety) in the field of Safety Management in a
company working in heavy industries such as Steel, Petrochemical, Power
generation, etc.
