Job Description:

Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring real estate construction projects. The role involves site coordination, progress tracking, vendor follow-ups, documentation, and ensuring work is executed as per approved drawings, timelines, and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Assist in preparing project schedules and work plans.

  • Coordinate daily site activities with site engineers and contractors.

  • Monitor project progress and report deviations to the Project Manager.

  • Ensure work execution as per approved drawings and specifications.

Site Supervision

  • Supervise construction activities and ensure quality standards are maintained.

  • Verify measurements and quantities for billing purposes.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety compliance.

  • Track manpower deployment and productivity.

Vendor & Contractor Support

  • Follow up with contractors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials.

  • Check material quality at site before usage.

  • Assist in evaluating contractor performance.

Budget & Documentation

  • Assist in monitoring project budgets and cost control.

  • Verify contractor bills and maintain proper documentation.

  • Maintain site reports, DPR (Daily Progress Reports), and MIS reports.

  • Support in maintaining project-related approvals and records.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to construction quality standards.

  • Support in obtaining statutory approvals and compliance documentation.

  • Maintain site safety standards as per company policy.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal departments.

  • Assist during client site visits and technical discussions.

  • Support smooth project handover and closure documentation.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.

  • Additional certification in construction management (preferred).


Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in real estate or construction projects.

  • Experience in residential/commercial building projects preferred.


Skills Required

  • Basic project planning and execution knowledge

  • Site supervision and quality control

  • Billing and quantity verification

  • Strong coordination and communication skills

  • Problem-solving ability

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and project reporting tools
