Site Engineering Manager

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Lead and manage all site engineering activities.

• Interpret and execute drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs.

• Develop project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

2. Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise civil, structural, and finishing works.

• Monitor daily site progress and resolve technical issues.

• Conduct regular site inspections and review meetings.

• Ensure proper resource allocation (manpower, materials, machinery).

3. Quality Control

• Implement quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Conduct material inspections and quality checks.

• Ensure work execution as per approved drawings and safety norms.

4. Cost & Budget Management

• Monitor project expenses and control costs.

• Verify contractor bills and manage site-related documentation.

• Optimize material usage to minimize wastage.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and site protocols.

• Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks.

• Maintain statutory compliance as per local construction laws.

6. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.

• Maintain discipline and ensure productivity on-site.

• Coordinate with Head Office for reporting and approvals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).

• 8–15 years of experience in construction/project site management.

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and site execution.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office.

• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

• Knowledge of local regulations in Jharkhand.
