Job Summary:

The Dispatch Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. The role involves supervising dispatch staff, maintaining transportation schedules, ensuring documentation accuracy, and coordinating with warehouse, production, and logistics teams.

 

This role will assist the Dispatch Manager in ensuring accurate, timely and compliant dispatch operations in a customer-facing environment. Responsibilities include preparing and verifying invoices using ERP systems; coordinating with production, sales and transports; maintaining dispatch and material receipt documentations; ensuring material identification and packaging accuracy; and maintaining procedural discipline at the factory gate. Given the financial and customer interface nature of this function, integrity, accountability and attention to detail are paramount. Candidates must be graduates with good academic record, good intelligence level and pleasing personality. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage daily dispatch operations.

  • Ensure timely delivery of materials/products to customers.

  • Coordinate with warehouse and production teams for order readiness.

  • Manage transportation arrangements and vehicle scheduling.

  • Verify dispatch documentation (invoice, e-way bill, delivery challan, etc.).

  • Monitor shipment tracking and resolve delivery issues.

  • Maintain dispatch records and reports.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

  • Handle customer queries related to dispatch and deliveries.

  • Supervise and train dispatch staff.


Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of logistics and dispatch processes.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Basic knowledge of ERP/dispatch software.

  • Good documentation and reporting skills.
