Quality Inspector
Job Description:
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with substantial experience to uphold quality standards in manufacturing MS Steel hardware. You will lead inspections, defect analysis, and process enhancements to meet stringent industry and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing on MS Steel raw materials, welded components, and finished products like transmission poles, cross-arms, and hardware fittings using advanced tools such as CMM, profilometers, and tensile testers.
Record detailed inspection data, non-conformances, and CAPA, while performing audits on galvanizing, fabrication, and welding processes for BIS/IS standards compliance.
Analyze quality trends (e.g., corrosion, tensile strength failures), generate reports and collaborate with production teams and vendors on root cause fixes.
Oversee tool calibration, first-article inspections, and supplier quality verification to optimize costs and efficiency
Quality Person be conversant with ISO Quality Management System (QMS) & Documentattion.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in quality inspection for steel fabrication,
hardware manufacturing, or power transmission components.
Expertise in metrology tools (CMM, gauges), GD&T, welding standards (AWS),
galvanizing processes, MS Excel for data analysis, and quality systems like ISO 9001.
Proven skills in statistical analysis, blueprint reading, and problem-solving in highvolume
manufacturing settings.
Strong communication for reporting, team coordination, and audits.
