Hiring for Geologist

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Geologist to join our exploration and technical
advisory team. The candidate will be actively involved in geological surveys, field mapping, data
interpretation, and contributing to exploration and project planning. Experience in metal and/or coal
exploration is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in the execution of exploration projects, either independently or as part of a larger
exploration team.
• Support and contribute to NMET-funded projects - from planning to execution stages.
• Conduct geological field investigations, mapping, sampling, and core logging for metal and
coal deposits.
• Assist in designing and implementing exploration programs, including drilling campaigns.
• Analyze geological data using relevant software tools and prepare technical reports.
• Interpret and validate geophysical and geochemical data in coordination with
multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards during field operations.
• Provide technical inputs for bid advisory processes, including geological risk assessments and
feasibility reviews.
• Maintain detailed records of all fieldwork, observations, and sample results.
• Collaborate with other departments such as mining, process, and environment for integrated
project development.
• Conduct Geological surveys and mapping to evaluate and analyse the Geological features of
the mining site.
• Produce Geological maps and cross-sections to assist in the interpretation of ore bodies and
mineral deposits.
• Interpret Geological data and collaborate with mine planners to enhance the mine's
development plan.
• Exploration Project Management.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Experts in Geology, Mining, Mineral
Processing, Mine Engineers and Safety professionals.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Masters degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized institution.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in mineral or coal exploration.
• Strong understanding of geological concepts, structural geology, and resource estimation.
• Experience in using geological software such as Surpac, Minex, or similar.

• Good communication and technical report writing skills.
• Ability to work in remote project locations under challenging conditions.
• Familiarity with bidding processes and geological evaluation of mining projects is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
• Hands-on involvement in metal and/or coal exploration projects.
• Exposure to government-funded or institutional projects like NMET
• Prior involvement in bid advisory or techno-commercial evaluations from a geological
