Electrical Engineer – Lift Commissioning

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Electrical Engineer – Elevators who will be responsible for on-site electrical commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and final handover of elevators. This is a field-based role requiring strong hands-on expertise in elevator electrical systems, including VVVF drives, along with good customer-handling skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical commissioning of elevators at site after installation
• Perform complete testing, tuning, and calibration of elevator electrical systems
• Handle and commission elevator VVVF drives, controllers, COP/LOP, door operators, safety circuits, and sensors
• Conduct trial runs and performance testing to ensure smooth and safe operation
• Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify electrical and drive-related faults during commissioning
• Coordinate with installation teams, project engineers, and service teams to close site issues
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company quality norms
• Manage final inspection and handover of elevators to customers
• Explain elevator operation, safety features, and basic usage guidelines to customers during handover
• Prepare and submit commissioning reports, test records, and handover documentation

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong expertise in elevator electrical systems and commissioning
• Proven hands-on experience with elevator VVVF drives
• Good understanding of control panels, wiring diagrams, safety logic, and fault diagnostics
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Customer handling and communication skills are highly appreciated, especially during site coordination and handover

Experience & Qualification

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the elevator industry
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical commissioning of elevators
• ITI / Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)

Job Nature

• Completely on-field / site-based role
• Requires frequent travel to customer sites
• Hands-on responsibility for elevator readiness, safety, and smooth customer handover. 

Note : Candidates are required for Kolkata and Odisha locations.
