The Placement and Corporate Relations Officer is responsible for driving corporate outreach and facilitating job placements through strategic relationship building and business development. This role demands a sales-driven approach to expand employer networks, promote institutional programs such as EDPs/MDPs, and ensure high placement success for candidates. A strong background in corporate sales or staffing solutions is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Placement & Internship Management
Develop and implement placement strategies aligned with current market trends and student aspirations.
Plan and execute summer internships (SIP), live projects, and final placements for BBA/MBA students.
Liaise with departmental heads and faculty to map students’ skills and match them with industry requirements.
Create and maintain a dynamic database of recruiters, alumni, and placement statistics.
Corporate Relationship Development
Identify, approach, and onboard new corporate partners across sectors such as consulting, BFSI, FMCG, IT, logistics, real estate, and startups.
Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing recruiters to ensure repeat hiring.
Facilitate industry-academia collaborations like MoUs, case competitions, research partnerships, and advisory boards.
Organize CXO talks, guest lectures, panel discussions, and industry conclaves to enhance campus engagement.
Training & Career Development
Collaborate with faculty and external trainers to develop and deliver employability enhancement programs (resume writing, GD/PI, aptitude, domain skills).
Conduct mock interviews and group discussions simulating real recruitment processes.
Counsel students on career options, interview strategies, and employer expectations.
Collect employer feedback and align training modules accordingly.
Reporting, Analytics & Compliance
Maintain accurate data on placements, internships, and offers made – segregated by sector, role, salary, etc.
Prepare annual placement reports, recruiter brochures, student placement booklets, and alumni success stories.
Ensure adherence to institutional and accrediting body requirements (e.g., AICTE, NBA, NAAC).

Candidate Profile:
Educational Qualifications:
MBA/PGDM in HR, Marketing, or General Management from a reputed institution.
Professional Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience in placement coordination, corporate relations, or HR recruitment (preferably in an academic institution or corporate L&D role).
Strong understanding of management education and industry expectations.
