About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Business Development Manager from the shipping and logistics industry to lead growth initiatives, build strong client relationships, and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in business acquisition, client retention, and revenue growth across shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics services (SEA, AIR, and Surface).

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping lines, CHA (Custom House Agents), transporters, and other key stakeholders.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.

• Lead contract negotiations, proposals, and pricing discussions to ensure profitable business outcomes.

• Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Documentation, Customer Service, and Accounts) to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Drive customer satisfaction, service excellence, and long-term client partnerships.

• Monitor business performance metrics and provide regular management reports on progress and results.

• Represent the company in industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of shipping operations, freight forwarding, NVOCC, logistics, and supply chain processes.

• Proven experience in business development, sales, and client management within the shipping or logistics sector.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

• Ability to lead teams, meet deadlines, and achieve targets.

• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
