Job Description:

Role Overview
The Lead of Engineering will oversee the preparation, review, and finalization of engineering
drawings, layouts, and detailing required for turnkey sugar, refinery, and ethanol plant projects. The
role focuses on coordinating with the draftsman team, ensuring accuracy and standardization of
engineering outputs, and supporting execution teams with precise technical documentation. This role
ensures drawings and layouts are translated correctly into execution-ready formats.

Key Responsibilities
 Lead and supervise the draftsman team for preparation of GA drawings, piping layouts,
equipment drawings, and structural drawings.
 Review and approve all engineering drawings and documentation for accuracy and compliance
with project standards.
 Coordinate with the Design Head to translate approved designs into accurate engineering
drawings.
 Standardize drawing formats, symbols, and practices across all projects.
 Ensure timely delivery of drawings and documentation to project, Production and site teams.

 Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and manufacturing teams to resolve
engineering drawing issues.
 Conduct quality checks on drawings to minimize errors during fabrication and site execution.
 Train, mentor, and evaluate draftsmen for technical skill improvement.
 Support tendering/proposal teams with layout drawings and technical inputs.
Key Skills & Competencies
 Strong expertise preferred in engineering drawings, layouts, and detailing for sugar/process
equipment and plants. /refinery.
 Knowledge of process house equipment including evaporators, crystallizers, dryers, and clarifiers.
 Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works and other drafting/design software.
 Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and standardization.
 Understanding of quality standards and best practices in engineering drawings.
 Leadership and people management skills to guide draftsmen.
 Strong coordination and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
