FEA ENGINEER
Job Description:
Please search for a suitable candidate for this role. FEA engineers work in the area of Value Engineering. Person can be anywhere in India and can work remotely (work from home). Preferably from West Bengal (open for Kolkata), or North like Faridabad, Manesar, Gurgaon (NCR Location), or in West like Pune, or down South like Bangalore, and also some parts of Gujarat from cities like Ahmedabad, Anand because most of the manufacturing units are there, especially dealing into OEM, Heavy machinery and hydraulics.
Detailed JD is mentioned in chain mail below from our HOD Design.
Notice Period - Max. 30 days.
An FEA (Finite Element Analysis) engineer uses computer simulations to analyse how components and systems will behave under real-world conditions, focusing on structural, thermal, and dynamic behaviour to predict stress, deformation, and vibration. They create mathematical models, run simulations using specialized software, and interpret the results to help optimize product design, identify potential failures, and reduce development time and costs. This role is crucial in industries like aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing, supporting research and product development by providing cost-effective solutions and validating designs.
Key Responsibilities
Simulation & Analysis:
Generate FEA models of mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems to analyse their static, dynamic, structural, and thermal behaviour.
Design Optimization:
Collaborate with design teams to refine product designs based on simulation results, improving performance and efficiency.
Model Validation:
Recommend and implement test procedures to validate FEA model results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Problem Solving:
Support root-cause analysis and troubleshoot technical challenges by identifying failure modes and providing solutions.
Reporting:
Interpret analysis results and effectively report findings and recommendations to other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
1.Strong knowledge of Solid Mechanics and Strength of Material with specialized application in the field of heavy machinery and material handling structure.
2.Extensive experience in static and dynamic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of heavy equipment, including excavator, cranes, Bulk Reception Units (BRUs), and hydraulic truck unloader etc.
3.Proficient in ANSYS or similar FEA software, performing linear and nonlinear analyses for rubber-to-metal, metal-to-metal interfaces, and complex structural components.
4.Conducted FEA simulation & capable to achieve minimum 10% reduction in material cost without compromising structural integrity
5.Developed and validated FEA models for various structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards with best engineering practice.
6.Provided technical consultation to the cross-functional team during design and implementation phases, and reviewed analysis results for accuracy and completeness.
7.Support failure analysis and resolution of current product issues (CPI) by applying targeted FEA investigation and providing data-driven solutions to the design team.
