Job Description:

Job Title: Production Manager – PET Preform & Bottle Manufacturing

 


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing operations of PET Preforms and Bottles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production planning, machine efficiency, manpower utilization, quality control, and adherence to safety standards to ensure smooth and cost-effective production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet output targets.

  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations of PET Preform Injection Molding Machines and Blow Molding Units.

  • Ensure optimum utilization of resources (raw material, manpower, machinery).

  • Maintain product quality standards as per ISO/GMP guidelines.

  • Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

  • Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily/monthly reports.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the shop floor.

  • Handle inventory of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods in coordination with stores.

  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous process improvement.

  • Lead, train, and motivate the production team to achieve targets.


Key Requirements:

  • Education: CIPET/Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Plastic Engineering or related field.

  • Experience: 5–10 years in production management within PET Preform and Bottle Manufacturing industry.

  • Experience with blow molding and injection molding technologies.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM practices.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of quality systems like ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 is a plus.
