Job Title: Pesticide Project Manager

 


Job Summary:

The Pesticide Project Manager will oversee the development, scale-up, and commercialization of pesticide products within a chemical manufacturing setup. This includes managing cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating production and supply chain activities to deliver projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Lead pesticide product development from lab to plant scale, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  2. Technical Coordination: Collaborate with R&D, production, EHS, and QA/QC teams for process development and plant trials.

  3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely submissions and approvals from authorities (e.g., CIBRC, REACH, EPA).

  4. Scale-Up & Manufacturing: Plan and supervise scale-up from pilot to full-scale manufacturing; optimize processes for safety and cost-efficiency.

  5. Budget & Resource Management: Prepare project budgets, monitor resource utilization, and track project costs.

  6. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain all technical documentation including process flow diagrams, MSDS, and batch records.

  7. Risk & Safety Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to chemical processes, safety, and environmental impact.

  8. Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Liaise with raw material suppliers, engineering consultants, and contractors as needed.

  9. Timeline Tracking: Ensure project milestones are achieved per schedule, report deviations, and implement corrective actions.

  10. Team Leadership: Guide cross-functional project teams and ensure effective communication between departments.


Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field

  • 5–10 years of experience in pesticide/agrochemical manufacturing or chemical project management

  • Strong understanding of chemical process design, scale-up, and EHS protocols

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, Primavera)

  • Excellent leadership, documentation, and communication skills
