Works Manager 

The Works Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing operations at the pole production facility, including fabrication, welding, galvanizing, finishing, quality control, maintenance, and dispatch. This role demands strong leadership, planning, and execution skills to ensure timely and cost-effective production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

📌 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Production & Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the fabrication and galvanizing plant.

• Prepare and execute production plans based on sales orders and delivery schedules.

• Monitor machine utilization, manpower deployment, and material flow to meet production targets.

🔹 Process & Quality Control

• Ensure production processes align with standards (IS 2713, IS 2629, IS 2062, ASTM).

• Coordinate with the quality team to implement inspection plans and minimize rework or rejections.

• Address non-conformance issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.

🔹 Maintenance & Equipment Management

• Supervise maintenance of key plant equipment (cutting, bending, welding, galvanizing furnace, cranes).

• Plan preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

🔹 Manpower & Team Leadership

• Lead a team of supervisors, engineers, and workers across shifts.

• Ensure effective skill utilization, workforce discipline, and safety awareness.

• Organize training sessions and evaluate team performance.

• Strong understanding of steel pole manufacturing processes (swaging, welding, galvanizing)

• Knowledge of IS standards, QA/QC processes, and technical drawing interpretation

• Proven leadership and team management skills

• Sound knowledge of safety, factory operations, and compliance norms

• Familiarity with ERP/MIS systems, MS Office, and basic production software tools
