Quality Engineer

Job Description:

• The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured poles meet internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry codes.

• They will develop and implement quality control procedures across various stages of production including cutting, welding, galvanizing, painting, and final inspection.

• The role includes conducting in-process inspections and final product audits to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, weld quality, and coating thickness.

• The engineer will analyze non-conformities, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• They will prepare and maintain quality documentation such as inspection reports, test certificates, calibration records, and quality manuals.

• Familiarity with standards like ISO 9001, BS EN 40, ASTM, and other relevant pole manufacturing codes is essential.

• The engineer will coordinate with production, design, and client inspection teams to resolve quality-related concerns.

• They will oversee third-party inspections and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

• Proficiency in using inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, ultrasonic thickness gauges, weld gauges) is required.

• A degree in mechanical or civil engineering, strong analytical skills, and experience in structural steel fabrication are critical for this position.
