Job Description:

A Salesperson in the Jewellery Industry plays an essential role in driving revenue, building customer relationships, and ensuring the brand’s reputation remains strong in a competitive market. This position is focused on helping customers make purchasing decisions, offering expert advice on jewellery products, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. The role requires a mix of strong sales abilities, customer service skills, and a deep understanding of jewellery products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Engagement:

    • Greet customers and establish a rapport, helping them feel welcome and comfortable.
    • Understand the customer’s needs, preferences, and budget, offering personalized recommendations for jewellery pieces that best match their requirements.
    • Educate customers about different types of jewellery, including gemstones, precious metals, and various designs.
  2. Product Knowledge:

    • Be well-versed in the brand’s jewellery collections, including detailed knowledge of gemstones, metals, and craftsmanship.
    • Provide insights into the quality, origin, and value of the jewellery being sold, answering customer questions confidently.
    • Stay informed about the latest trends in jewellery design, helping customers with style and design preferences.
  3. Sales and Revenue Generation:

    • Meet and exceed sales targets by actively pursuing sales opportunities and closing deals.
    • Upsell and cross-sell complementary products, such as matching pieces, accessories, or repair services, to increase the overall sale value.
    • Keep track of inventory levels and inform customers about special offers, new arrivals, or limited-time collections.
  4. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
    • Keep detailed customer records, including preferences, purchase history, and follow-up opportunities for future sales.
    • Provide after-sales support, addressing any concerns or issues with purchases (e.g., sizing, cleaning, maintenance).
  5. Visual Merchandising:

    • Assist in creating appealing jewellery displays, ensuring that products are showcased in a visually attractive and accessible way.
    • Help with the store’s layout and product arrangement to optimize sales and enhance the customer shopping experience.
  6. Store Operations and Organization:

    • Maintain the store’s cleanliness and organization, ensuring that the jewellery is properly displayed and that the store is tidy and professional.
    • Handle transactions accurately, using the POS system, and assist in managing returns, exchanges, or repairs as required.
    • Ensure security protocols are followed, especially when handling high-value jewellery.
  7. Team Collaboration:

    • Work alongside other sales staff to achieve team goals and maintain a positive, supportive work environment.
    • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
  8. Promotions and Marketing:

    • Participate in promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, or in-store events aimed at attracting new customers or increasing sales.
