Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer with a strong background in industrial products sales and marketing, particularly in areas such as Ball Bearings, Gears, Power Transmission, Lubricants, Tools, Measuring Instruments, and other related products. The ideal candidate should possess solid experience in industries such as metal processing, rolling mills, cement plants, and other manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Marketing:

    • Promote and sell industrial products, including ball bearings, gears, power transmission products, lubricants, tools, and measuring instruments to key customers in the metal, rolling mill, and cement plant industries.
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base.
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients in relevant industries.
    • Identify customer needs and propose technical solutions that align with their operational requirements.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, product support, and technical solutions.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
  3. Technical Expertise:

    • Provide expert technical support and advice to customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of the products and their applications in the industrial sector.
    • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers as needed.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and innovations in the industrial products and machinery sectors.
  4. Project Management:

    • Oversee the complete sales process from initial contact to product delivery and installation.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, logistics, etc.) to ensure that customer requirements are met efficiently.
    • Follow up on ongoing projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and customer expectations are exceeded.
  5. Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

    • Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and records of customer interactions.
    • Track sales performance and suggest improvements to optimize sales processes.
    • Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  6. Negotiation & Contract Management:

    • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with customers to secure profitable deals.
    • Ensure that contracts and agreements comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  7. Market Analysis:

    • Analyze industry trends, competitor products, and customer requirements to identify market opportunities and challenges.
    • Propose new product solutions or improvements based on market feedback and trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Qualification: A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or technical sales of industrial products (ball bearings, gears, lubricants, power transmission products, measuring instruments, etc.) to industries such as metal processing, rolling mills, cement plants, manufacturing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial operations, particularly in rolling mills, cement plants, and metal industries, is a strong advantage.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial product applications and technical aspects related to power transmission, lubrication systems, bearings, and measuring instruments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to offer solutions that meet customer needs and improve operational efficiency.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and close sales with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
  • Sales Tools: Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools to track leads, manage customer accounts, and forecast sales.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of cement plant equipment, rolling mill machinery, and related industrial products is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with industrial maintenance tools and solutions.
