Job Description:
Role Overview:
Responsible for end-to-end production management ensuring daily output, quality, efficiency, and cost control. Highly hands-on role.
Factory Setup:
- 100 Machines
- 5–7 stitching lines
- 120–180 workers
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Execution:
- Achieve daily production targets
- Monitor hourly output
- Handle floor issues
- Manage style changeovers
- Line Balancing:
- Plan line layout
- Balance operations using SAM
- Control WIP
- Process Coordination:
- Ensure smooth flow: Cutting → Stitching → Finishing → Packing
- Quality Control:
- Ensure safety standards for kidswear
- Reduce defects, rework, rejection
- Manpower Management:
- Allocate operators based on skill
- Control absenteeism and overtime
- Train workers
- Productivity:
- Improve line efficiency (50% → 70%+)
- Monitor operator performance
- Cost Control:
- Reduce wastage
- Improve cut-to-ship ratio
- Floor Discipline:
- Maintain cleanliness and workflow
- Implement 5S
- Maintenance:
- Minimize machine downtime
- Coordinate with mechanics
- Reporting:
- Daily production and efficiency reports
- Defect and rejection tracking
KPIs:
- Production achievement
- Efficiency
- DHU
- Rework %
- On-time delivery
Reporting:
- Reports to Factory Owner
- Manages supervisors, QC, cutting & finishing teams
