Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Metallurgist for our foundry specializing in non-ferrous castings, particularly Gunmetal and Nickel Aluminium Bronze. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring correct metallurgical processes, quality control, and smooth casting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection and verification of raw materials as per metallurgical standards
• Preparation and checking of moulds before casting
• Supervision of melting operations, including: Proper charging of furnace
• Melting at correct temperatures
• Checking molten metal quality before pouring
• Inspection and approval of patterns prior to production
• Ensuring adherence to casting quality standards and process parameters
• Troubleshooting casting defects related to metallurgy and process

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in non-ferrous foundry operations
• Strong knowledge of Gunmetal and Nickel Aluminium Bronze castings
• Hands-on understanding of melting, moulding, and pouring processes
• Ability to identify and prevent metallurgical defects

Preferred Background:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering or any Graduate 
• Experience in industrial or production foundry environment
